If all your historical wargames had to be set on a single continent, which continent would you choose? |
AussieAndy | 29 Feb 2016 9:34 p.m. PST |
The only non-European war that I wargame is the ACW, so my answer is pretty obvious. |
Weasel | 29 Feb 2016 9:37 p.m. PST |
Sad to say I am missing out on an entire world of potential gaming, but most of my historical interest is euro-centric. |
Bunkermeister | 29 Feb 2016 9:55 p.m. PST |
WWI, WWII, and WWIII all happen mostly in Europe. I think that means Europe. Mike Bunkermeister Creek Bunker Talk blog |

Easy choice really! We have the AWI, ACW, War of 1812, MAW, Indian Wars galore, Pirates, and elections every two years! Nothing could be finer then the North American continent! Though some of that stuff on the European continent is still pretty appealing when you come down to it! |
Forager | 29 Feb 2016 10:18 p.m. PST |
Europe certainly has a lot to offer, but that choice would exclude my personal favorite, which is ACW, so I've got to go with North America. Would miss my Eastern front WWII games, though! |
MH Dee | 29 Feb 2016 10:29 p.m. PST |
Difficult – Europe for me, but the Americas are close. |

Europe…Napoleonics, 7YW, WW2, ECW, Cold War |

Europe for the rabbit. Been years since the last AWI or ACW game. |
Cyrus the Great | 29 Feb 2016 10:49 p.m. PST |
Africa. Biblical ancients, the Crusades and Victorian era colonials, as well as others, for gaming. |
Martin Rapier | 01 Mar 2016 12:04 a.m. PST |
In line with our proud history of thousands of years of almost continual warfare, it has to be Europe. |
advocate | 01 Mar 2016 12:23 a.m. PST |
Europe, but I'd be sorry to miss the rest of the world. |
gunnerphil | 01 Mar 2016 12:44 a.m. PST |
Antarctica because the terrain is simple, and camouflage is easy to paint. |

Europe, Since last November I started collecting Frostgrave so all my armies now fight in snow. All are 28mm. |

I'll be concentrating on the Great Antarctica Oil-War of 2040 from now on… Or maybe Europe… Mike |

Francesia – my imagi-nations' continent link If I have to choose a real one, then it would be Europe. Francesia is a pseudo-Europe after all |
uglyfatbloke | 01 Mar 2016 3:51 a.m. PST |
Europe – though we do have pretty large collections for the the ACW and WW2 in Asia. |

Is saying "Eurasia" cheating? After all "Europe" is really just a peninsula! |

1) Tharsis. It's got Olympus Mons on it. Also, Valles Marinares and the Hellas Crater. 2) Pangea. Age of Reptiles, baby! 3) Mu, the Lost Continent. I think it's in the jacket you were wearing yesterday with your cell phone. 4) Antarctica. AvP! 5) Atlantis comes in last. I have a game for it already. Lots of fun, but you can do the same threat for most of the others. |

If I can game in India (yes, I know it's not a continent, but it's close!) and Africa I think that would be enough for several lifetimes. There's still a tremendous pull to other places, however. What a relief we don't have to choose only one! |
Yesthatphil | 01 Mar 2016 1:13 p.m. PST |
I pretty much only wargame European battles anyway … Phil |

I play games set in North Africa, NE Europe, Australian outback, and SE Asia. Tough choice. So I won't. |
Who asked this joker | 02 Mar 2016 7:28 a.m. PST |
Europe. They have back to back to back to back to…back wars. It's just a never ending cycle of wars to be gamed. Even the hypothetical wars of the Cold War era center around Europe. As much as I want to say USA, it's Europe. |
durecell | 02 Mar 2016 6:09 p.m. PST |
Asia. Sengoku Jidai is my favourite period. I've also got so many other wars I'd like to do eventually and wouldn't get the chance to do if I didn't pick Asia. Three Kingdoms, Warring States, Genpei, Many Mongol and Yuan invasions, Imjin War, East India Company wars in India and more that increase everytime I read a history book. |

Antarctica? No it's the best – the uniforms are so easy to paint. |
