Dear All,

Including some words of wisdom (!) on the suitablility of TY for solo play for those, like me, sans mates…

Please stop posting these battle reports – the reports are too good, the table is too good, the figures/models are too good!

I can't afford another project.

…and yes, I am now seriously thinking of taking up this period as well. You have inspired me.

Great report, thank you.

Thanks mate very kind! Go on – you know you want to!

GeoffQRF29 Feb 2016 2:27 a.m. PST

How big is that table?

Navy Fower Wun Seven29 Feb 2016 2:38 a.m. PST

Hi Geoff – 12 x 6

Captain dEwell29 Feb 2016 3:08 a.m. PST

Super impressive. I like what you have done very much. Actually, it's a joy to see what you are achieving.

I must get more involved with TY but my preference for 28 mm (maybe even 20 mm) over smaller sizes is holding me back. Perhaps I should just reach out and embrace TY.

Thanks for sharing your fun.

A pleasure skipper!

Badgers29 Feb 2016 6:03 a.m. PST

Fantastic stuff!

GeoffQRF29 Feb 2016 6:04 a.m. PST

Really nice table, shows what you can do with a bit of common sense and still having a lot of vehicles while avoiding the table looking like a tank park…

MiniPatton29 Feb 2016 9:57 a.m. PST

Great looking table and battle report!

Navy Fower Wun Seven29 Feb 2016 1:07 p.m. PST

Thank you all very much for your kind comments! Yes I dislike tank parks intensely, and I guess that is another big tick for solo games!

I got my roads from my mate Bryan who makes them under the name Thiroul Originals and Reproductions. I mentioned them originally at the bottom of this post: link

But I will ask him to come on and give you contact details etc…

Fantastic stuff. I particularly like how your geography looks natural. The trees along the river and the line of trees beside the autobahn. Little details add up. Thanks.

Looks like the perfect sized table to me.

Thanks for sharing your pics, and battle report(s). They are superb!

More please.

Nicely done again, and I really appreciate the solo-play notes! Looking forward to more from you.

For solo gaming, do you "play both sides" in separate turns, or do you try to "simulate" any of the opposing force responses?

Navy Fower Wun Seven02 Mar 2016 2:51 p.m. PST

Thanks again chaps – your kind comments are very encouraging!

Re the solo play, yes I play both sides in separate turns, moving right through each sides 4 turn phases. The only complication is the interrupting AA fire, but I have made up a card with a Soviet/NATO symbol which reminds me of whose turn it is if I get interrupted…

Bryan is delayed in letting you all know about his products, but in the meantime here is a link to his website:
