3 older models by a French brand, Heller, that are about the only ones available for the S35 at the 1/72 scale? Tracks made of supple plastic need to be closed with a heated knife, and spigots now common to glue a piece in the correct position are nearly absent from this vintage model… Truly a blast from the past!

They look great despite their age! Wish I could say the same. grin
I remember quite well those heady days of heating a knife and then the lovely smell of burning plastic that would send my mother barging through the door demanding to know what in Godīs name I was doing.

But really, could Hellerīs roundels be any more fiddly?

Agreed, a blast from the past! Nice work!

Great work & thanks for sharing them with us.

Lovely. Nothing beats French camouflage for esthetic value and questionable effectiveness.

I have a few too:

I saw a vacuform S35 kit once, but it looked like it took some special skills to make that work. The best thing about French armor is the weird color schemes.I try not to paint any two the same so it's easier to identify individual tanks.

Sweet! I have three of these but somehow one lost it's turret when we moved house. Any idea where I can get a replacement?

I've had luck in the past finding a company that produces the same model in lead or resin and asking if they'll sell the turret separate. It helps if you include it as part of an order.
