Hi ,

does anyone own of these ? I wondered if they would be a good match for the old Mikes Models. I have 1/2 a MM ECW army and the old ones seem to command a high price on Ebay.

The pictures on the scale creep site for the BH ECW do look like they have a similar 'chunky character', do doesn't help if they are big or small in the 15mm 'pantheon of size'

thanks Simon

I have no idea about the size of Black Hat, but you can still get Mike's Models from Essex
link
ECW are from about RP50 onwards.

The problem with the Essex MM is now they ship them with new Essex horses rather than the dumpy MM horses ..

Simon,

I bought several of the Black Hat ECW figures on a similar premise, but they are much larger than the Mikes Models. Too bad, as they do share a strikingly similar sculpting. If you use them in their own units they should work but they are way too "off size" to mix.

hope this helps,

Tom D

Black hat are big ,really big. I have found that Museum miniatures and Old Glory 15s are a very good match in sculpting and size. They are both excellent ranges too.
