I am aware of the Old Dominion Military Society (still in existence, but meeting only irregularly), as well as the Williamsburg Legati and the Richmond Liesure Society. What other wargames clubs are in Virginia? Are there any in the Charlottesville-Staunton-Harrisonburg triangle? Chuck |

Looks from your profile that you're closest to NOVAG--check their website. As far as Charlottesville area,I live nearby, but don't get out much, due to family obligations. You could check The End Games, they have website, blog, etc. They have various activities, but centered,as you might expect, around GW and CCGs,which form the vast majority of their merchandise. I stop in occasionally,to pick over the clearance table, and get some amusement from the GW prices. Also, there is,or was,an apparently fair-sized gaming weekend held in C'ville;admission was amazingly high, and the events held no interest for me,so I never went, and don't recall the name. Sorry to be vague, but I know there's some sort of annual event--you can probably find out through The End. I'll stop by and ask, next time I'm in town. Didn't know about RLS,when I lived in Richmond, there was RAGE, had a newsletter,"RANT",and game cons at VCU. I believe Sam Mustapha was active when he lived there,or at least,I knew him there. Hope this helps a little. |

BTW,you might want to repost your query. Unless I missed it,it didn't make it to the Homepage Message listing, and a lot of people only check that for latest posts. |

Thanks – I will do that. I appreciate the suggestions. My interests are on a couple of levels, but one of them is that as part of the staff for the Williamsburg Muster, and Guns of August, we are trying to located wargames clubs in other parts of Virginia, to see if they would be interested in doing Club Events (having a table or two to host games over the weekend) at our shows. We have always wanted to be "Club Friendly" conventions. The second reason is personal – I visit that area quite often, and would be interested to see what game clubs meet in the area. Chuck |

WNGA – Wednesday Night Gamers of Alexandria, hosted by Del Stover, meets every Wed night from 6:30 -10. In C'ville, you might want to look up Dan Beattie; he is a gamer, historical author, and terrific fellow, and should know what is available in the area. |
