I made an order with this company and was told by them that I would receive it a few days after the 12th. I have not received anything and my emails to the company have been greeted by silence. Is the company in financial trouble? |

I am their US retailer, and they have had a lot of changes. The company was sold to a new group who have offices in Spain, but the molds are in the UK. Communication has been slow at times. I don't think they're in danger, just overwhelmed with the amount of work it takes…. Mark "Extra Crispy" Severin ScaleCreep.com |

Do they still make the 15mm/18mm naval troops/crews? I haven't seen them listed for some time, and it appears they've switched to a new, smaller scale. I really liked the looks of the larger figures. |

An announcement about the new Capitan Games website appeared on TMP on 25 Jan 2016. Here is a link to their announcement: TMP link I placed an order on their new website within a few days of this announcement. I paid via PayPal, and the purchase has appeared on my credit card account. Today marks 30 days since my order. I have received neither the order nor a reply to an email I sent 2 days ago asking for a status on my order. I will file a PayPal dispute in 7 days for a full refund if I have not received my order. YMMV |

They still own the 15/18 crews but are switching to 10mm as you say. It will probably be a while before those molds are brought back on line. |

15/18mm crews here: link I'll wait to see if Mark gets them along the way. |

I wish I would have waited for Mark to get more stock…sigh…that'll teach me for being impatient. |

Seems i am not alone in having some issues with this retailer. I too will give it a few more days and then raise a dispute if i dont receive my order. The total lack of communication is unacceptable in this day and age and ignoring your customers only leads to one thing – they become ex customers. |

Do they still make the 15mm/18mm naval troops/crews? My stocks are here. Will discount for large orders. Like Mark my stocks are limited except for the Pirates where I have lots! -- Martin Stephenson Vexillia: Wargames Miniatures & Accessories Shop | Rules | eBay | Twitter |

Lack of notification of a small shipment after two weeks prompted me to email Capitan via their web site. About four days later I received an apologetic email and that he would look into it. Two days after the email from Mark, I received the figures. So, the shipping from U.K. to Canada was not bad, about three weeks. I had several of the old Capitan figures (when they sculpted and cast in Spain) and they are exquisite sculpts (on a par or better than Perry and Front Rank). However, the sculpts (28mm Napoleonic naval figures) I received from the new Capitan were very poor imitations. The figures are much slimmer and slightly smaller than the originals, plus the detail is very poor. Further, the casting was terrible…blobs of metal between the bicorn and shoulders of most of the officers etc.. I passed this info to Mark long adding that I would not be buying from Capitan again. I recived the following reply; "I have conveyed your complaint to the moulding dept and asked for an explanation as to why quality control seems to have failed to pick up this problem before the figures were shipped. As soon as I have their reply, I'll let you know and either have the substandard figures replaced or offer you a refund." That was on 14 Feb. I have heard nothing since. So buyer beware. |
