Some SW Pacific 20mm action with my AIF and Japanese. A 3 player Chain of Command game that had Aussies with Matildas going after some dug in Japanese around Wewak.

Great game

The Matilda is quite an intimidating vehicle for those without robust anti-tank guns

Fantastic work. What caliber gun were the Japanese using
against the Matildas ?

Great looking game, Mark. The Matildas are beautifully done – love the stowage and camo! And the jungle terrain… Got my own grizzly fur painted now, so I'm looking forward to trying it out. Thanks for that tip! it painted up beautifully!

Always inspiring terrain! Like the Aussie JOPs too! Any Matilda is a good Matilda, but was the multi-barrelled mortar armed Matilda the Australians had called a scorpion or hedgehog? How was it aimed? Any stats in CoC?

Wargamer Blue26 Feb 2016 5:23 a.m. PST

The hedgehog was aimed by pointing the front of the tank at the target. It was a huge success as a bunker busting tank in trials but the war ended before it was used in combat.

Microbiggie26 Feb 2016 4:21 p.m. PST

The Matildas are the Airfix Hedgehog kit mentioned earlier. The 3" tank has the conversion kit from Matador a UK company that doesn't seem to have stock of these anymore. The other 2 are just scratchbuilt conversions with various bits (but not from a Pz I).
Thanks for comments.
