I remember posting at one time that Toussaint Louverture, who is often described as being against slavery and the general who beat Napoleon, that he supported forced labour. People disagreed, as they would. Well, Tom Holmberg has written a brilliant article on the real Toussaint. It is a very revealing and well researched article and well worth a read.
