the last living Marine from the raising recently passed away at 94. An article in our local paper recently showed a picture of the gentleman and another local Marine veteran at a Naval Museum in front of 2 of the 4 flags used. Photo was before they were moved to the Marine Corps Museum. Semper Fi! |
