OH6 or Apache

JimDuncanUK23 Feb 2016 6:49 a.m. PST

Sea King and the Merlin

Chuckaroobob23 Feb 2016 6:53 a.m. PST

I'd go with the Mi-24.

Next modern game might just be the helicopter raid from the movie "Blood Diamond."

Norman D Landings23 Feb 2016 6:57 a.m. PST

Hind or Cobra? I can't choose!

I've got a soft spot for those clunky Kamov contra-rotor contraptions, too.

Frederick Supporting Member of TMP23 Feb 2016 6:58 a.m. PST

I agree with Norman – love the Cobra, love the Hind

Wackmole923 Feb 2016 7:00 a.m. PST

Apache. Cobra is a close runner up though.

Tgerritsen Supporting Member of TMP23 Feb 2016 7:22 a.m. PST

I've always love the OH6, such a versatile bird.

I like the Hind, too. It's just so intimidating looking.

The AH-1F Cobra all the way!!!!
That is what I worked on during my Army days in Germany.

Rich Bliss23 Feb 2016 7:44 a.m. PST

AH-64D and the son who flys it.

GeoffQRF23 Feb 2016 9:52 a.m. PST

Sat in the cockpit of both the Apache and the Hind.

I had an Apache hovering around my house the other day. They just look so dangerous.

Tom Bryant23 Feb 2016 10:03 a.m. PST

Kaman Huskie is right up there for me. Unique design, rugged construction and did an unglamorous but important job in Rescue and Firefighting for the Air Force. Other than that, probably the Cobra, Hind and Huey.

Cold Steel23 Feb 2016 10:12 a.m. PST

UH-60 Medevac and the people who fly them. They pulled some of my friends out of some pretty tough spots.

dsfrank23 Feb 2016 10:20 a.m. PST

RAH-66 Comanche – sad the program was cancelled

wrgmr123 Feb 2016 10:43 a.m. PST

Bell UH-1, that sound travels for miles.

boggler23 Feb 2016 10:59 a.m. PST

Definitely the flying banana!

Fatman23 Feb 2016 11:00 a.m. PST

As they are all an abomination against everything good I find he concept of a favourite incomprehensible.

Bismarck23 Feb 2016 11:08 a.m. PST

for me, it is a draw between the UH-34 Sea Horse and the CH-46 Sea Knight.

Kropotkin30323 Feb 2016 11:31 a.m. PST

Have to say the Westland Wessex. When I was a boy I just loved its shape. Back then I also loved lorries and trucks. So maybe I like stuff that is chunky.

Weasel23 Feb 2016 11:34 a.m. PST

HinD, no question though all choppers are cool.

Always thought the Cobra looked cooler than the Apache.

Disco Joe23 Feb 2016 12:28 p.m. PST

Apache and Cobra.

Tgerritsen Supporting Member of TMP23 Feb 2016 1:52 p.m. PST

If we're including canceled programs, the LHX/RAH-66 was very impressive looking.
