Just Google Old Glory Miniatures Historical The American Experience. That will take you to the listing for the different American historical figures. Once there click on Warpaint – American Old West. |

Foundry does 25mm/28mm Plains Indians and have pictures of painted examples of their figures on their website. I will be using some of the Old Glory Plains Indians with the Foundry figures when I do my Mountain Men collection. Also you can see my painted 15s at link |

Although I have a vested interest in these figures let me add this. I at one time had an entire plains war setup with these figures. I tried to use figures from other lines and just did not really like many of them as in my eyes they all had the muscle man bodies and if you know anything about the plains Indians they just were not built like that. That being said -- the Old Glory figures come separated at the waist in a ball and socket system -- this give endless variety --howevet, you really should drill and pin the body to the torso to achieve the right height -- then build up the gap with green epoxy. This makes the figures look so much better. Regards Russ Dunaway |

Hiya Russ, glad you stopped by. Here's a question about those figures that I've wanted to ask for a long time. Many of the OG Plains Indian figures hold in their right hands a small stick, maybe a foot or a foot and a half long, crooked at the end. They look too small and flimsy to be warclubs. Are those coup sticks? |

So that's what the middle guy in the rear rank of the photo above is swinging: a coup stick. You don't see those everywhere. Thank you. Momma, come here quick, An' bring yo' whackin' stick! |

The Old Glory plains Indians also convert very nicely. I'm a Little Big Horn nut. Hook 's Osprey book Warriors at the Little Big Horn has color portraits of a number of the Sioux and Cheyenne based on ledger art and descriptions. I have used Old Glory figures to make many of them. Tom
