Hi, this plastic figure group was found washed up on a beach. Anyone recognize it? Looks Biblical, like a mother and child scene but I don't recall a story that would be depicted this way.

They are from the 1/87 set of Gladiators and Christians from Atlantic. |

Those are Christians about to be eaten in the arena from the Atlantic Gladiators set, I believe. link Those sets from Atlantic were quite nice, I still have some of them :-) |

If it 1/72 scale it could be from a gladiator coliseum set. I cannot remember the manufacturer but I'm pretty sure it was Italian. There were Christian victims, lions and other big cats and of course gladiators. It's been more than 30 years since I had the complete set so that is the best I can do. They also made a 1/32 version of their gladiator set as well. |
