One of the longtime offerings of our American Revolution line is our Highlanders in trews: link With the launch of our revisions for the period, we have overhauled these guys considerably. The basic pose of the soldier is still the same as ever -- advancing with muskets leveled -- but the green itself has been revised, and the set has been re-mastered and re-tooled from scratch.

The result is sharper figures and more robust soldier castings. Most heads have also been removed (the officer's is still attached). That lets you install heads with tams in various positions. We also offer separate heads in bearskins if you ever wanted to go that route!

The first edition Highlanders included a color bearer. He's been replaced with a piper. The command figures are in kilts. The other ranks have foregone those in favor of campaign overalls, as the 71st is perhaps best known when it fought to the last at Cowpens.

And yes, we also offer Highlanders in kilts, whether with tams or bearskins. They're all 54mm, metal, and come unpainted. Tartan and hat dicing lines are actually sculpted onto the figures for easier painting! You can see them all on our AWI page: link

I especially love the highland grenadiers, but they all look smashing!
