Last Thursday evening at the uni we unexpectedly managed to squeeze in 2 x 50 point TY games, since we have still not quite grasped the lethality of the action. Managed to get some infantry action in this time. Quick batreps here:

M109s – Not really – pinned my infantry around the objective a few times, which would have impacted the RPGs had it come to an assault…

I think I am going to like Team Yankee simply for its fast play. I have a while to go before all my forces are ready but anything worth doing is worth taking the time.

Just as a matter of interest why does Team Yankee have T-72's for the Soviets? As I understand the scenario it is the first few hours of WW3 so the US are fighting the category A first line divisions which would have T-64's or T-80's mid 80's.

The game derives from HC's novel, not the specific time period.

The novel is based on known info at the time. Here's a discussion on the overrated effectiveness of ATGM's in the book:
