While going through an old box of wargaming stuff I came across the GW "McDeath" box. I think this is the only scenario I have (though who knows really, given my 'organizing' …), but it made me wonder what other boxed sets did GW publish? Were any of them particularly well thought of? Thanks! |

For 1st/2nd edition along with McDeath
There were others for 4 or 5th edition but can't I remember their names. |

For WHFB 5th iirc: Idol of Gork Grudge of Drong Tears of Isha Circle of Blood Quest of Agravain And if you look closely into some "abandon-games" pages, you may find downloads for all of them, INCLUDING scans of the excellent card scenery. Hope that helps. |

I had all of the 1st/2nd edition sets back in the day. McDeath was a particular favourite, especially the finale at Runsinane (?) Castle. The set included a fine floor plan of the castle. We could never get McDeath to win however. The opposing clansmen had a group of tree men who were unstoppable and ripped the castle to pieces, as far as I remember. Interested to know if anyone else had the same experience? |

I think it was called Perilous Quest. I really liked the 5e boxed sets, even if I never got utility out of them. The scenarios are interesting, the buildings are top notch, and they found a really clever way to have flexible yet scenario-specific army lists. |

Clansmen in McDeath were a laugh. I recall the feud between them being explained as "the members of clan x as such pansies that they even put salt in their porridge" |

Re: Perilous Quest. That might have been the name. I do remember there was a Bretonnian vs Wood Elves set and that was the only one my friend and I did not finish. (That was probably around the time he and his wife had their first child …) |

Yes, Perilous Quest was the name of the Bretonnian campaign set. |
