Recently moved from Ontario to Saskatchewan; can't seem to find anything other than 40k. Anyone know if there are any groups that do historical gaming anywhere in the province? In a perfect would I would love to find a SYW group but at this point I'm desperate--I'm trying to teach the cat to throw dice. . . |

It looks like it may be up to you to introduce the delights of historical tabletop gaming to the uninitiated citizens of Saskatchewan. Organize a SYW game and present it at the 40k "waterhole." Once they see the wonders of the SYW period, you may be inundated with converts. |

There is this blog Edward, I think Tim posts here on TMP too: saskminigamer.blogspot.ca I had thought someone in Saskatchewan was playing Sabre Squadron too, but I can't find the AAR now. Might have been Manitoba though. |

Looks like doing a demo game is in my future; oh well, Rome wasn't built in a day and Silesia wasn't conquered in a week. I'll whip up a few more battalions of line and a few more 'exotic' units and make a show of it. Wish me luck! |

Where are you in Saskatchewan (it's a pretty big place!)? I'm in Saskatoon (obviously). The blog address posted above is mine. I have some SYW stuff – but it hasn't seen action in years. Probably seven… |

Paul Atreides: I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when my fear is gone I will turn and face fear's path, and only I will remain. Good luck converting those 40K devotees! |
