In this, the year of our lord and savior two-thousand and sixteen, let it be known that the right and honorable Warren Abox has dedicated his time, talent, and treasure to the time honored tradition of dungeon creation in all three glorious dimensions granted to us by the lord God in Heaven! Seriously, check this out: So far I've built about ten rooms, branching corridors, and a staircase going down…
The whole thing is built on a 3-inch grid, constructed out of foam core base with balsa walls, and tucks into a nice little carrying case.
Probably going to have a second similar sized box for the furniture, of which I have just a couple pieces done to date.
For now, I'm enjoying the modelling aspect. At some point, I really should get to painting them up so that these empty halls can get some use. |

That is quite excellent! I love how simple it is,yet effective for representing rooms and corridors. I'm inspired! |

Thanks man, it also helps provide decent contrast for the furniture and minis. Here's what the wizard's shelving looks like:
And here's what this stuff looks like unpainted, so you can get an idea of how it's constructed. The books are just pieces of popsicle sticks cut to size, and the jars bits of old G.I. Joe knock-off guns.

Thanks for posting the before/after pics of the unpainted furniture – those pieces are brilliant. I had to go back, look again, and remind myself that the painted versions are 15mm – I've seen lots of 28mm furniture that doesn't look nearly as good! |

Well thank you. As to scale, if you look, they are wildly out of scale. The table is chest height, and those books would each be around three feet tall! It doesn't matter. I'm putting together a game environment, not a diorama. I've got two beds to represent a full bunkhouse, two tables to represent a crowded dining area, and ten plants to represent a lush indoor garden. They are there for illustration and representation; the purpose is to provide something for players and minis to interact with. As with the abstract principles behind Hit Points and one minute combat rounds, it's important to remember that this is a game and not a detailed and accurate simulation. |

Added a nice little garden full of subterranean dangers and delights:

That's exactly where I got the idea. Been cheerfully copying and refining their ideas for weeks now. Wait'll you see the mushroom forest and reversible floor tiling that I'm working on. It'll turn the dungeon into a space station in mere seconds. |

A couple more shots of the dungeon in progress. I've moved on from the dungeon, traps, and furniture, and started painting figures.
That's actually a Pendraken 10mm minotaur that I'll be using as 15mm beastmen.
The pool room.

Shoots. Almost forgot I promised to show the reversible floors. These two shots are the opposites sides of a room insert.
One more group shot:
