I'm back to work this week but I also have posted up my miniatures wargaming report from DundraCon 2016 – a convention held in San Ramon, California. I ran and played in several games throughout the weekend covering modern, WW2, colonial, and more – check out my (long and picture heavy) report here: link

A few preview pics to get your started (tons more pictures on the blog):

The games look outstanding. Is there any way to obtain a copy of the 'Hell or High Water' rules that was used for the French Foreign Legion game?

Thanks all!

@Joe1870 – They are still under development – but there is a push to get them written up in a shareable form (FYI, I'm not the author).

Thanks so much for posting
The pics are great.
I almost made it to this con this yearBUT it is always a bit hard to tell what is on until the last minute
Thanks so much

Hey Clif – admittedly I didn't schedule 2 of the 3 games I ran … mostly because by the time I could confirm them the scheduling was already closed. Regardless, the miniatures coordinator (Hector) is an outstanding guy and very accommodating so we didn't have any issues getting space to run our unscheduled games. That being said, it may be harder next year as I was surprised at the surge in miniatures this year – which is great – the footprint is growing. Hopefully you can make it next year.

Jay, thanks for posting/linking these great pics of a super-looking show!

Jay did you happen to catch my Aeronef game on Saturday in the Hallway?

Or in the room where the X-Wing was going on Sunday right across from it there was a StarBlazers game going on so just curious.

By the way I'll be at Kublacon as well and I hope to be running my Battle of Grassy Plains game which is a very large Star Wars game.

Thanks all!

@Captain Gideon – I'm not familiar with Aeronef … I may have seen it. I do recall several games of X-Wing and Armada going on throughout the weekend … there was a game just inside of doors to the miniatures room. I'm looking forward to KublaCon. :-)

Some serious Top-Notch looking games.

Captain Gideon20 Feb 2016 9:13 a.m. PST

sotek486 Aeronef has been around since 1992 and it's what I like to call Flying Pre-Drednoughts.

My Aeronef game which ran on Saturday morning was in the hallway and was right next to an Armada game.

The Aeronef ships are somewhat hard to miss but it does happen.

When you get to Kublacon please stop by my Grassy Plains game and say hi.

I should be right across from the registration table.

Some lovely looking tables! What make are the buildings?

sotek48620 Feb 2016 3:17 p.m. PST

@TacticalPainter01 – Buildings are from Crescent Root Studio.

@Captain Guideon – Ahhh, the airship game … I did see that one out in the hallway, great looking game!

sotek486 I thank you for the nice words.
