Last year was pretty rough around casa Gray, and this one could have started out better, but I finally do see the proverbial light at the end of the tunnel, and have confirmed that it is NOT a train. I hope. For those who don't know, in 2015 I battled Sepsis, contracted asthma and finished my colon cancer chemotherapy (I did beat the sucker BTW, and am a school trained, official cancer survivor). This year we lost both our family pet to cancer and I lost my job, the former being the bigger of the two speed bumps. Trust me if you get a choice between getting old and punching out the Hulk, take the latter. Its safer.

Anyhoo . . . Right now I am doing the Imperial and Republican chapters of the FPW this week, and like all chapters, there will be one or more scenarios included. This is at the special request of some of my Canadian offspring, not all legitimate, and given I just finished doing a clean Win10 reinstall and downloaded the new edition of Campaign Cartographer, this should go pretty fast. I'm hoping to wrap this entire package up by Historicon, then I will officially retire and start producing free scenarios for the Website.

And for those who do not know . . .

Age of Valor is an expansion module for Age of Eagles (aka Napoleonic Fire & Fury) 2d Edition. It covers warfare involving the great powers of Europe from 1848 thru the Guns of August 1914, and everything in between. It will have separate chapters for each conflict, with its own specific rules, data charts and tables. We have the biggies like the Franco-Prussian and Austro-Prussian Wars, but also lesser known conflicts such as the Hungarian Revolution, the Schleswig-Holstein question, Russo-Japanese War and even the Crimea with a special rule for Flashman.

We have one vendor who is willing to publish the module as a full color hardcopy, and simply give me royalties, but otherwise we are going for a digital format for around $ 12.00 to $ 15.00 US. The idea is that none of these wars are very popular compared to ACW etc, pretty damn esoteric in many cases, so doing a full book on each is dicey. On the other hand a disk for $ 12.00 with everything on it, and where you can simply print out the chapters you need in color, just might be doable.

We do have our early Solforino playtest available for free download at the link below, so you can get an idea of the format, but there have been some significant changes. Now each conflict chapter has its own unique charts and tables, and not an all in one chart as is displayed. Also, I will be deploying a public, cloud based one drive where I will have available for access and download all the Public Domain sources I used, to include maps.
