Yoo-hoo! Anybody willing to admit they are going to be merchandising at either Wally's Basement or the Vendor Barn?
Less than one month to go and it seems most are playing it close to the vest.

Hey, if you want our money, speak up! Some of us will have our tax returns by then and you know what that means--wild, irresponsible holes-burned-through-pockets spending. The "Oooh, Shiny Syndrome" at its most virulent.

grtbrt15 Feb 2016 1:30 p.m. PST

I will be there. a table or 2 at the flea market . Mostly old west stuff (buildings and figures) some modern zombie stuff and 1/2400 naval . Plus whatever else I can sort out by then .

Hafen von Schlockenberg15 Feb 2016 1:37 p.m. PST

Used to get a flea market table at least one day at all three East cons getting rid of books . Haven't been able to make one for over 5 years, due to family circumstances. Table in the basement groaning with boxes. Hoping to make F'burg one of these days. Miss friends.

Pictors Studio15 Feb 2016 1:45 p.m. PST

We will be there with painted figures and Uprising Miniatures.

capncarp15 Feb 2016 2:07 p.m. PST

Okay, dragging up another long-mortified idea: could you TMP'ers who are attending, especially those who are vending, display or wear a TMP logo (with Bill's blessing, that is), so that we who don't know you by face could shower our to-be-ill-spent funds a little more in your direction? (hint, hint)

A few years ago several members wore the logo-with-screenname along with their con badge. It seemed a nice way of getting to know each other, for those of us who don't get out of our basement much.

Maybe we could come up with a "secret sign" or gesture to unobtrusively identify our membership in this ultra-high-secret organization of ours, like dancing the Funky Chicken while singing "Men of Harlech".
You know, real subtle-like.

I'm pretty clear on "If you don't know who I am, it's probably best for both of us."

Everyone seems to know who I am, though.

Six Sided Simulations will be there, in the dealer hall! We sell 8.5 by 11 adhesive sheets of flags, for all scales and eras of minis. For example, in 28-30mm for the Hundred Years War, we offer 10 Sheets; War of the Roses: 4 Sheets; Thirty Years War: 8 Sheets; English Civil War: 4 Sheets; Great Northern War: 4 Sheets. For the Napoleonic Wars: 24 different Sheets, and for the American Civil War: 8 Sheets. We also offer the Mexican American War, the Crimean War, Ancient Medieval Banners, Japanese Samurai, Crusader Banners and the Battle of Tannenburg and Naval Jacks and Ensigns, just to name a few.

I also sell a lot of used board games, since I haven;t figured out just yet how to be at the flea market and the dealer hall at the same time. So stop by and say HI!

I thought the Lancaster Host was in danger of being sold off and closed?

Was I mistaken?

And if sale is finalized during the convention, does all merchandise become property of the new owners?
How about the attendees?

Unless something goes badly wrong, expect to be in Wally's Basement with a few thousand painted 15mm (various Ancients, Renaissance, ACW, and Franco-Prussians), some 10mm ACW and Franco-Prussians, a miscellany of micro-armor, and some units of 25mm ancients and medievals. Hopefully some or all will find new homes…I've run out of space!

#1 – No, they don't want our crap either!
C. – Have you seen us? ISIS doesn't even want us!

grtbrt16 Feb 2016 8:19 a.m. PST

Regarding Isis, I understand that this is part of their new recruiting drive . Offering a 1:1 scale modern wargame arena with 24 hour access to pre-painted "models" ,along with unlimited soda and french fries (sorry meant :"Fundamentalist Fries")

I believe mention was made of "pre-painted 'models'"…

Bill Moreno with Good Ground has a wide selection of 10mm ACW.

47Ronin16 Feb 2016 6:21 p.m. PST

HG,

To buy a flea market table, start by logging into your HMGS account. Your CW badge should have been provided by HMGS. If so, go to "Modify Existing Registration" and it should let you select and pay for a table. Print out a receipt to show that you have paid for it, just in case.

Good luck.

Enjoy the games.

Then there will be that old favorite, still occupying the same space, offering some terrific values on great and wonder figures in both 28mm and 18mm, including buildings and other magnificent gaming accessories, OLD GLORY!!!

So come on by, join the Old Glory Army, and save on some money on the largest selection gaming miniatures in the whole dealer hall.

grtbrt16 Feb 2016 9:25 p.m. PST

I tried going to my registration to modify it to add another table , How do I do that ? I currently have 1 table (Friday PM)and wish another for the same time period

Ember52 Supporting Member of TMP16 Feb 2016 9:47 p.m. PST

grtbrt,

I could be wrong, but it's been my understanding that each Flea Marketeer can only purchase one table per session. A buddy could register and purchase a separate Friday table, but you would be limited to one in your name on Friday. You could, of course, purchase one table in other FM sessions on Sat., if tables are still available.

(If I've got this wrong, would someone in the know please correct me.)

Hafen von Schlockenberg16 Feb 2016 10:21 p.m. PST

"Traditionally " one table per customer.

Ashurman17 Feb 2016 6:53 a.m. PST

Sorry guys, have been offline since yesterday (at least for fun). Rampant Lion, right now the 25mm medievals are some quite old Hinchliffe I bought years ago, many of which I have touched up and/or repaired, but…not my best work by any means! There are 6 full plate halberdiers, 8 (badly converted from billmen) handgunners, and 24 billmen, all mounted on modern bases, as well as a "unit" of 6 knights and sergeants (2 or 3 Superior, a Ral Partha, 2 Hinchliffe, and 1 more I don't know the provenance of, maybe Citadel.
Viper911, I don't have the 10mm inventory at work, but all the ACW 10mm are GHQ…Guessing 16 Cavalry, 48+ infantry, around 6 guns. Painted, but unfortunately never used, which is why I don't remember the numbers! I have a Saturday PM table, as I recall. Thanks for asking, Ashurman

Disco Joe17 Feb 2016 7:30 a.m. PST

Miniatureships, will there be anything new in the 28mm line or not? What about buildings for 28mm figures?

grtbrt17 Feb 2016 7:32 a.m. PST

Only one ? Ok -thank . Then it's different than Fall-in. Where, it seems, the majority have 2-3 tables
I have never doe the flea market at Cold wars-
Any pointers about other ways it is different than Fall-in?

Fall-in seems to be more and more divided between the professional Flea marketer (vendor by another name ) and the yard sale sellers.
Is Cold wars like that /or more like wargamers moving their extra stuff (category I am in )
Thanks

Moe the Great17 Feb 2016 9:09 a.m. PST

Would anyone be interested in some AQTMF items? If so I will include them in my Flea Market Boxes.

I will have LOTS of painted figures.

Ember52 Supporting Member of TMP17 Feb 2016 10:01 a.m. PST

grtbrt,

I went to the Fall In site to check out the Flea Market agreement/guidelines (which I think are the same ones used for all 3 cons). According to these, you can only reserve one table per person per session. As the Flea Market session nears it's start time, you may be able to purchase additional unclaimed tables from the Flea Market Coordinator. That may be what you saw at Fall In. You may have also seen friends who booked tables adjacent to each other covering each other's tables. Maybe a mix of both. In any event, I would check with the Cold Wars Flea Market Coordinator on site to see if unclaimed tables are in fact available. You could also contact Cold Wars con leadership in advance to get clarification.

In terms of the seller mix, I don't know that it varies in any predictable way from one convention to another.

grtbrt17 Feb 2016 10:13 a.m. PST

Ember ,Thank you for the clarifications

Piano Man17 Feb 2016 12:50 p.m. PST

If I get time to gather it together, I will have some odds and ends, hopefully cheap to a good home.

OG Egyptians, a few Later Romans, some other random miniatures and books. Maybe some board games – if anyone is looking for a board game, let me know. I will see if I have it and am willing to part with it.

TSD10117 Feb 2016 1:53 p.m. PST

I'm always on the lookout for bargains on 15mm European terrain and figs for WW2 in the flea market if anyone is bringing any.

Also, unpainted 28mm fantasy for my Pathfinder campaign

I will have a 2 booths opposite Sash and Saber. Stocking Day of Battle medieval rules and supplements along with Light Bobs for AWI. I will also have medieval and H&M books from Aide de Camp Books, special 3mm ply bases in hard to find sizes including 3" wide and 120mm wide by 30, 40, 60 and 80mm depths. Besides running three games I will have a demo table in my area where you can stop by and play a turn or two of whatever I have set up for a demo. I will also have demo copies of my F&I Wars and SYW army lists for Light Bobs. Just come up and ask for them.
