Wasn't the first edition released just a few months ago? October-Ish?

My French is rusty,to say the least. What is the significance of the title--
"And Without Result"?
"And Without Success"?
And A Fruitless Attempt"?
"Another Pointless Exercise"? (couldn't be that! :) )

A famous quote of which I am foolishly ignorant,or a hint of the kind of game we can expect?
You may have this on the website, but the type is so faint I can't read it.

I believe it was as Ney at Eylau seeing the wreckage of Augereau's corps. "What a massacre and without result"'

Today's addition to the Knowledge Bank.

The title is… ironic.

Knowing David, I suspect that was the intent. It was I think a quote of Wellington's during one of those periods of stalemate in the Peninsular.

Nope,still illegible. 'S'OK, switched to chrome,black on white,very dramatic.
On another note,I see you're going to be making 10mm terrain. Excellent! When done, would you consider posting the actual footprint measurements on the website? That would be very helpful,as "10mm" means different things to different people,terrain-wise. For instance, Old Glory buildings seem to be scaled for Russ's conception of 10mm battalions--100 figure units. I use Shako,30 figures double-ranked on a three inch frontage.Terrain sections are three inches square, too. A three by five inch building would be way out of scale, but several makers do that sort of size. Nothing wrong with that,if it fits people's needs, but I have to go smaller.

BTW,didn't see the motto--is it a "secret" motto?

They work great with 15mm figures, don't work with my other 10mm buildings.

I understand the need for improvement.
And if there was a way to send by PM it would have been done that way…
But I just bought the original only a some few months ago!
So how should I feel here ….
just spending $40 USD and there is already a new version ( any revision had to be at a pretty series stage at this time) which sounds like much improved game not to pass on!
Or another way of looking at it… having to spend ~$80 for rules in order to play the wargame as attended!
So for the folks that fall into this category, will there be any break in the replacement cost?

Indeed. Due to busy real-life factors, my 1st Edition rules are still in shrinkwrap. I have experience with NC and LoG, and was looking forward to ESR.
