"Looking for European vendor – laser cut bases." Topic

My regular vendor in the UK is no longer offering laser cut bases, so I am asking here if anyone knows of any vendor in Europe that is offering laser cut bases.

Need: 30 mm circular plywood 1.5 mm thick bases.

I always used to get these from Fenris. I hope you're not saying they've stopped doing them. Like you I prefer ply, but I also sometimes buy 2mm mdf from warbases and minibits.

Fenris is the vendor that has ceased offering laser cut bases but War-bases do have what I need.

East Riding Miniatures do offer circular bases, but not ones of 1.5 mm thickness.

That's a shame. I was hoping they had more than one MDF type.

ERM are brilliant…it never fails to amaze me how fast my order gets turned around!

Have you tried Googling laser cutting services? I'm 99% sure that such services exist for chaps wanting the wood precisely cut for building radio control planes from plans and as such those doing the work are used to one off runs.

I have ordered from Litko in the past and had excellent service. Do they do 1.5mm ply?

4D models in London would almost certainly do it for you but I suspect it would be expensive.

I've not looked at the cost but ten seconds on Google got me here…

I have ordered from Litko in the past, but postage is nearly as expensive as the item ordered and lastly the customs here automatically levy their tax and administrative costs on top.

I have ordered from War-bases as they have 1.5 mm plywood discs. Should be here in a week or so.

I can do 2 or 3mm MDF, can get 1.5mm laser ply but it is more expensive than MDF & would have to do special order from supplier.
