Looking forward to my first India vs India game, I've got a decent army but no great piece for a general. Do you have any ideas for where a fellow could buy an ancient Indian leader?

i'm not that picky about an individual Indian nation or date, but certainly pre-medieval (no chainmail). I would also be OK with a fantasy figure who could pass as an eastern potentate -- robes, not pants.

Any ideas?

Mounted or unmounted? What scale?

Yeah I was thinking of Sgtmm as well. I am sure there are some fantasy options I just can't think of any now..

Huscarle I like the look of that new company you linked to, the miniature company.

Anyone buy any yet and if so how would they mix with 1st corps and Old Glory? As that's what I am currently painting up for an Classical Indian army but would like to include some of these new ones if possible. May buy a small sample pack if no one knows how they would stack up against OG and 1stcorps.

Apologies if I have hijacked the original question too much but am also looking for command figures as well as other bits and pieces for my currant Indian project.

aynsley683 – The Miniature Company is my side project. I hadn't intended to release the figures originally, but decided to stick 'em on the web and see what happens!

There will be character figures (especially Asoka, who was one of the inspirations for me starting the range), but they won't fit in well with 1st Corps or Old Glory. They are at a scale to fit with the 'Vendel' range – now Bloody Day by SgtMM, so much larger than the other two manufacturers.

Also, as I said, the range is a project, rather than my day job, so I'm releasing them here and there as I get my own army painted and need more troop types to add to it, which I've found is the best way to encourage me to actually finish a range!

Cheers for the mention Huscarle! :-)
