Hey Folks,

I plan on doing a refight of the Battle of Chateaugay. So, I will need Lower Canada Sedentary Militia (I know we all love that name). Anyway, I can't seem to find any suitable figures in 15/18mm. I think I might try to modify some Blue Moon FIW French militia. Before I do that … does anyone know of a better solution?

Thanks, Mark

Old Glory 15's sells a pack of "British Light Infantry and Frontier Militia" which is a bit confusing. Half the figures are Canadian Voltiguers (light infantry in bearskins) while the other half, the Frontier Militia, are in capots and toques like the Sedentary Militia, which is what I use them for. Quebec was not really the frontier by that time but I suppose they could also be used for the militarised Voyaguers.

Minifigs French Candian Militia from their Montclam and Wolfe range is another possibility: link

Thanks all … some great possibilities.

Upper Canada … that link to AB does not work for me. Can you tell me a code or name so I can track them down on their site?

Thanks, Mark

I have used and sold old glory 15mm for a very long time. If you can get them, Frontier had a very large range of 1812 including frontiersmen, Pirates Canadians and regulars.

Hi,

I used a mix of Blue Moon 1812 non uniformed militia, Warmodelling Spanish militia in top hats with the turnbacks filed off and a British officer from the Blue Moon West Indies regt pack. Here's a link to my blog which has afew pics:
