I have been noodling around with some rules to convert Force On Force to use with my WW2 stuff. The rules themselves are easy, especially with the vehicle stats someone on the forum created, but I wanted to add in a system of movement on blinds as well. I created two historical scenarios to go with my adaptation and plan to host them as convention games at the upcoming Trumpeter Salute! convention in Burnaby, BC, in April.

More thoughts, some photos, and a .pdf of the work-in-progress scenario can be found at my phlog here:

Intriguing. I usually play moderns with FoF, but will have to give this a try. Your blog is very nice, too!

And I miss the games and gamers up there in the PNW.

I use Force on Force for W.W. II all the time.

Interesting idea on using blinds for movement. Reminds me of "Ain't been shot, mum".

The first publish Force on Force rule set had WW II stats and scenarios. Force on Force works pretty well for WW II. I love how easy AFVs play in Force on Force and the ability to react if you are not the initiative players is something I have always enjoyed.

The reaction mechanic is one of the main things that drew me to Force on Force. I have very little patience these days for games where I have to sit on my hands for 45 minutes while my opponent takes his turn. In FoF, you never have time to sit back and relax, you are always doing something.

Oddball, I stole the blinds movement idea directly from IABSM, and modified it a bit to work with FoF. This project is basically my quest to mash all the good ideas from the games I like together.

Oh and yes snodipous I love the blinds idea. That puts a bit of a crimp in the god like view we have as players. I will have to give that a try.
