The Bloody Big Battles! Langensalza scenario is intended as an introductory scenario for beginners. Being relatively small it is prone to variable though nonetheless interesting outcomes. I've fought it twice. This is an account of the latest: link |

Ah, Langensalza – small but perfectly formed! This is a lovely little tactical puzzle, quite different from the usual "kill 'em all" / "take that hill". It's surprising (but pleasing) that although BBB was created to fight the monster battles of the period, the much smaller scenarios designed to help players to learn the rules have turned out to be really fun games in their own right: Langensalza, Montebello, First Bull Run, Coulmiers … One of our guys is so enamoured of Langensalza that he is building custom terrain just so it can be played again and again and again. We'll be laying on all these small battles as participation games at the BBB convention in Oxford on Sunday 10 April 2016, "Bash Day". There are still spaces left.
