I received a couple platoons worth of the insurgent infantry figs and I have to say I am impressed! The sculpting quality and casting is excellent with a nice selection of poses. (The poses are active and realistic, no off-balance running or gymnastic craziness.) They all wear a balaclava type "ski mask" except for the leader who is heroically bare headed (or doesn't care if he is identified). The heavy weapon is tripod mounted and nicely cast. Although marketed as sci fi troops, these would work well for near future or contemporary periods as their kit is a hooded coat and light web gear. The platoon set comes with enough figs for 3 10-man squads, a heavy weapon and command. Each squad includes RPG type launchers and SAW support. Keith is easy to work with and responded quickly to enquiries. If his Cold War figs are as nice, they will be a treat. Pete |

Super fan of his past works… my mistake was that I painted his old brits and poles….and they match up w each other w their big helmets… but the I surgent heads are slightly smaller….a minor gripe of mine…the rider insurgents have bigger heads and could be snipped and replace the others I guess…. they are slightly smaller in bulk though. |

Thanks Pete I use them for modern conflicts to. The weapon is AKish and modern enough for me. Soon as the cold war stuff is out you can use the HMG and grenade launcher from it quite nicely. In fact the cold weather hats and gear could change easily enough between the forces. My second attempt at 'scifi' after passing the first over to Brigade did change the bulk slightly. Id still happily use them together mind you. I cant say I see difference between the riders and the main forces. The riders being my fave troops :) Keith armiesarmy.com |

Your infantry and gzg are my favorites overall. I like the bulky guys you did before…very much so! When I snagged the new insurgents, I was hoping they'd be bulky too which is my preference….. They are great minis and I mixed them in with your old White Russian now poles and gzg forces…and made my black rose Mercs force. I'm going to try and put the riders on gzg horses. |

Love Keith's earlier figures – the ones now with Brigade Models- as well as GZG and happily mix both. |
