Interesting article about an 1888 martial arts manual published by a samurai as training for non-lethal police combat. Might be useful for pulp, 19th century, superhero, or even modern police/crime games.

Pretty interesting history. I may need to get that book for my collection of oddities, shelve it with the 1911 US Army infantry regulations and bayonet drill.
