We headed down to Vapnartak, York Wargames Show with Dave and Shaun Sunday gone and had a jolly time.

What follows is a tun through of the events of the day and some rather nice pics of some of my favourite games.

sorry if you're not included on the list, I did discover some really lovely games that my camera record omitted but it was rather late in the day to take any pics.

You can read all about it and see many pics of the games on my Just Add Water blog here:

Here are a few taster pics of some of the games:

Cheers,
Darrell.

I have to give you a bit of light hearted teasing here. You posted a picture in the full post titled Sci-Fi (???).

Have you been locked in ice for the last 3 decades on a frozen planet such as Hoth? Or were you buried deep in sand on an inhospitable desert planet such as Tatooine? Perhaps lost in the swamps of Dagobah? My guess is you put yourself in insolation perfecting your brush mastery on the planet Ahch-To.

OK, Star Wars LOL :>) I'll edit the post on my blog ASAP.

York is he one show I always try to attend, and this year I couldn't go due to work commitments. The games looked fine to me from the pictures you provided what was the issue with the quality in your mind?

I think there was.

I need to make myself clear, which I perhaps wasn't so on my blog. I felt that the overall quality of the games on display was down compared to previous years. Of course this can just happen and is in no way a reflection on the organisers.

I do hope that there is an improvement as I've seen some wonderful games over the years and it would really be a shame if the standard was to slip.

Just my tuppence of course :>)

Darrell.
