Anybody have any recommendations for a ship to represent a Greenpeace ship in the '80s in 1:2400?
Thanks,
Dave M.

No, but I would like to see a 15mm one, along with French special forces. :)

At only 16.66mm X 3.55 mm I don't know of any trawler model that tiny.

If you find one post it here please.

Best bet is to scratch build it… or perhaps one of the Shapeway modelers will make one

I'd suggest going up in scale, to 1/1200th – 1/1250th.

You may find something in those scales.

There's a Cod Wars set, or three on Shapeways, which may have a vessel similar to what you want as well. Can't recall what scale those are in.

Tumbling Dice and Viking Forge do assorted small trawlers and whalers in 1/2400 that might suit, though these are of course ranges you'll struggle to find photos of online.

VF won't even share photos if you request them, so no need to bother, since I've tried in the past, and received a rather cheeky reply for my efforts. They don't believe in customer service, since it is "too time consuming", according to the general gist of the e-mail response I received (though they did at least write back).

A pity.

Needless to say, my money was spent elsewhere.

Generally, I'm happy to order sight unseen from Viking Forge. I've a fair idea of their quality (okay to excellent) and I can look up what the prototype ship looks like.
But for something like this, where you'd want to see which of their generic trawlers or ocean-going tugs might suit the Greenpeace fleet, you're stuck without pictures.
