Here is a picture of a 20-figure regiment of Prussian Hussars (H4 – Puttkamer) with RSM figures, showing the original 1990 basing:

Here is the same regiment, rebased, with the addition of four Minden command figures (2 x officers and 2 x trumpeters) to bring the unit up to 24 figures:

Here is a comparison of the painted RSM figures and the unpainted Minden figures:

As always Jim, great job. The figures match really well from a size perspective. I sort of like the older bases, but I know, "they were so last century. "

You make this look too easy.

Well done!

Beautiful job – plus great to know that Minden and RSM are compatible; I have some RSM Prussian hussars who need some reinforcements

Fantastic job,
As a complete side note read last week and book true story of a refugee family staying at a Baron Putkamer estate in Pomerania during WWII. The first half the book describes life during the war there.

Nice!

Nice figures.

Do the RSM hussars have decent detail sculpted on the figure or do you have to paint on all of the lace/braid? I have lots of RSM figures (infantry, artillery, dragoons and Cuirassiers) but I have held off from buying the hussars because I have been unsure about the detail.

Yes, the RSM hussars have decent braid detail on the figures. You can get a good effect with some minor dry brushing techniques. I would not hesitate to recommend the RSM figures for SYW armies.

Thanks for the information on the RSM hussars. I will have to buy some one day.

By the way I have some of your Minden SYW artillery and they are very nice.
