I'd like to see what else they've got. They look like they have potential. |

Those are gonna hurt my wallet. Dragon Rampant anyone? |
steam flunky | 07 Feb 2016 11:47 p.m. PST |
They look VERY promising. I will definately be ordering when the rangers are ready. Also i am happy to see you are doing casualties. |
Mute Bystander | 08 Feb 2016 3:58 a.m. PST |
Nice collection of figures but the "renaming" of classic fantasy groups turns me quite off. |
Jimboba | 08 Feb 2016 5:11 a.m. PST |
Three threads on this now; See also TMP link and TMP link for background to this new range. They do look fine indeed. To my eye large 15mm (18mm) which is fine. I've signed up for the 10% discount earlier adopter and will place an order once some of the other imminent packs are available. Being in the UK makes the shipping a bit of a pain. I'd be open to sharing an order with folk to reduce cost/customs etc. As to the re-naming Mute Bystander – I know what you mean. I'm too old to be re-educated as to call a spade a spaderitus but I imagine for the producer the fluff for the gaming systems justifies the marketing tie-in enough to do so. I'd have like a more 'open' policy on fantasy gaming and systems as a whole. This would also apply to pack sizes. At 35 miniatures per pack that's overkill for the likes of Dragon Rampant or HOTT for example. I get that for some of the packs it means getting all the multiple pose options. If anyone has scale comparison pics would be great (not that it bothers be with orcs and the like). Watching with great interest indeed. Best of luck to 'Nick' the14thWarrior. |

Well, the intent is for mass battle games but the "single figure/how many in a blister" is ideal debate has been going on since manufacturers began using Baggies, Blisters, etc… Funny, postage is a added burden isn't it? That is one reason I stopped buying (Baccus, Brigade Models, GZG, and others) UK/Europe made figures. |
Extra Crispy | 08 Feb 2016 8:10 a.m. PST |
Postage isn't a burden if you buy from US dealers (like me!). For example, get your Brigade Models fix stateside! ScaleCreep.com |
tberry7403 | 08 Feb 2016 8:33 a.m. PST |
One thing I haven't seen mentioned, and which is a great selling point, is that his grunt-level troops generally have at least 30 DIFFERENT poses. His "Dwarian" (gee, I wonder what they could be ) Double Handed Axemen have 50 poses! I'm too old to be re-educated as to call a spade a spaderitus… If you are not going to be using his rules what difference does it make what he calls them. It's obvious what they are and you can just call the "Orcians" "Orcs" and be done with it. This would also apply to pack sizes. He is probably packaging figures based on his game. Give him a while to get his footing and he may beginning reducing package sizes. |

Looking forward to seeing what some of the other races look like, the Bestians and Hissians in particular. |
Heisler | 08 Feb 2016 10:00 a.m. PST |
Time to break out the old ChipCo Fantasy Rules V2! |
Mute Bystander | 08 Feb 2016 11:54 a.m. PST |
Oooh, I think I have those still, Heisler! Thanks for reminding me… |
Mute Bystander | 08 Feb 2016 12:01 p.m. PST |
Extra Crispy, I will check them out but honestly I am thinking 3mm is the new 6mm (and I try and keep the AFVs out of my 15mm games.) tberry7403, True that but it still seems like a bit unnecessary detail. But if he is naming them for his rules that might make sense for his game rules. It still rubs me the wrong way but either I will accept it/buy the miniatures or I will use other sources. I am still trying to see if they match the tone of my 25+mm figures enough to push me over the edge to buying. |
paulgalenpotter | 08 Feb 2016 12:08 p.m. PST |
I will be getting some of these. Looking forward to seeing the other races/factions. |
DinOfBattle2 | 08 Feb 2016 3:02 p.m. PST |
I'll definitely be buying a bunch of these figures. Dislike the naming conventions (Orcians, etc), but I won't call them that. :-) |
Spudeus | 08 Feb 2016 3:46 p.m. PST |
That is weird, since terms like 'dwarves' and 'undead' aren't exactly copyrighted. Still, I really like the style and the depth of each range is impressive! |
Waco Joe | 08 Feb 2016 4:40 p.m. PST |
Are Purians going to be a felinid race? If so I'm in. And what will be the difference between Stygians, Gillians and Hissians? I blame the lack of teaching Greek and Roman suffixes and prefixes, let alone root words on such ambiguity. |
deflatermouse | 09 Feb 2016 3:44 a.m. PST |
Undead casualties markers = Excellent. Looking forward to these. Always good to have more undead. And more orcs. Will there be any Asian style armies, I wonder? |
the14thwarrior | 09 Feb 2016 3:50 a.m. PST |
Hi Everyone, If you want to find out more join our facebook group. Search for Battle Valor Games. I will be posting new stuff here as it arrives first, and will also be putting lots of info up there. There is a Felinid race coming. Asian style armies include the Stygians (Mongols/Huns/Steppes), and the Dynastians (Chinese/Terracotta)for now. Also if you create an account on the Battle Valor Games website currently (www.battlevalorgames.com), you receive a permanent 10% discount. |

'Funny, postage is a added burden isn't it? That is one reason I stopped buying (Baccus, Brigade Models, GZG, and others) UK/Europe made figures.' Sadly, postage charges have to be made as it costs money to send things across large bodies of water separating continents. However… …anyone buying figures from us in the USA actually gets them cheaper than UK customers. I know it sounds daft but its all down to VAT. A UK customer buying £50.00 GBP of figures from us pays: £50.00 GBP Plus £5.00 GBP (p&p) Plus £11.00 GBP (VAT) for a total of £66.00 GBP A US customer buying the same £50.00 GBP of figures pays: £50.00 GBP Plus £12.50 GBP For a total of £62.50 GBP I know that there's no-one in the world likes to pay either postage or taxes, but given that both are unavoidable it's best to make the best of it, especially when you benefit from the system vis a vis others. |

These look great. I'm going to have to place an order just to see how cool these are in person. |

A Range after my own heart, fantastic stuff! |
Keifer113 | 09 Feb 2016 9:54 p.m. PST |
Can I beg you to do elves not in skirts???? if you do Wood Elvians I suggest looking more to a certain movie about 5 or 6 or maybe 4 armies than to a certain company that likes you to game, work or shop…..( oh and kudo's on giving them back quivers and not side quivers….) |
steam flunky | 10 Feb 2016 12:32 a.m. PST |
The only thing that is really going to stop me buying a lot of these figures is the large pack size. We all know how hard it is to stick to something and get whole armies finished and i believe that is one of the main reasons that games like Saga, Lion/Dragon Rampant etc have been so sucessful in recent years. Maybe it would be possible to also offer smaller "skirmish" packs with a slightly higher price per figure such as Ral Partha Europe are doing with the Demonworld/Blighthaven minis. |
the14thwarrior | 10 Feb 2016 6:26 a.m. PST |
There will be Wood Elves of a sort at some point and they will NOT have skirts. |
the14thwarrior | 10 Feb 2016 6:27 a.m. PST |
Facebook Group. Search for Battle Valor Games in your facebook search bar and it should pop right up |
Keifer113 | 10 Feb 2016 7:19 a.m. PST |
Yay! Very excited about these. Good timing! |
Jimboba | 10 Feb 2016 7:19 a.m. PST |
Facebook does not make it easy to find a Group (unless you joined it already…pah). Before making your search nevais select 'Groups' then search from there. |

I put in an order for a couple of packs. Once I get them, I will share some pictures and thoughts on my blog and will link it here for everyone to see. Can't wait to get them. They do look impressive. |
Twoball Cane | 16 Feb 2016 8:50 a.m. PST |
This is why I love and hate tmp ;) I don't play 15mm fantasy…and now I want too…these minis look great….and I would have been blissfully unaware and never known about these if not for landlor and this post. Unghhh I need another genre to paint like I need a hole in the head. The voices are calling me to pick up a ton of these. |
Twoball Cane | 16 Feb 2016 4:45 p.m. PST |
I caved…..I'm going to try and convert those frigians to space Vikings…and use them as raiders |
Cullen | 16 Feb 2016 7:06 p.m. PST |
Space Vikings!? Cool, keep us informed. Some nice looking minis from BSV but I do hope they consider making some smaller packs available, similar to the RPE Blighthaven ones, as has been mentioned here and in other sources. That would appeal to many of us, I imagine, as samplers or as boosters for army builders. Anyway, hope it's successful. Cheers, RC. |
the14thwarrior | 20 Feb 2016 5:25 p.m. PST |
Hi Everyone, I have now made half packs, containing 16 miniatures (no command), available on the website, as well as separate command packs containing 15 miniatures. Half packs, as they become available will contain 16 Infantry, 8 Cavalry, or 5 Big Guys (Ogre Sized Creatures). Not everything will be available as half packs, just where it makes sense. Thanks |
jsan212 | 20 Feb 2016 6:51 p.m. PST |
Perfect Can you post a picture with one miniature from each race next to one another for scale comparison? Thanks |
SCAdian | 20 Feb 2016 9:56 p.m. PST |
I have to agree that the naming conventions are a pita and seems forced. Especially when you have Decian (Undead faction) Werewolves. That said, the minis (for the most part) seem nice. |
the14thwarrior | 21 Feb 2016 10:03 a.m. PST |
The names are just for the background of the world. We all know what they are right. Glad you like the mini's, many more to come. |
Ammianus | 21 Feb 2016 10:13 a.m. PST |
14th: thanks for the half pack option; helps those of us who play HotT out a bit. Can't wait to see them in the flesh. |
steam flunky | 22 Feb 2016 12:38 a.m. PST |
I have now made half packs, containing 16 miniatures (no command), available on the website, as well as separate command packs containing 15 miniatures. Thanks a lot for nothing! Now i have no reason left not to order some.
Cheers p.s. A half pack of Legian Rangers would be very welcome. Rangers suit skirmish games and i am guessing not many gamers need large units of them. |
paulgalenpotter | 22 Feb 2016 10:16 a.m. PST |
Thank you Sir for the half packs. I will be getting more of these now. -Paul |
the14thwarrior | 22 Feb 2016 12:26 p.m. PST |
Welcome, glad to be able to do this for you guys. Rangers will be available as a Half Pack as well, once they get released, as will most basic infantry packs. |
jclaxton | 22 Feb 2016 8:22 p.m. PST |
Just got my dwarves in and they are just awesome. Turnaround time was fantastic. Communication was excellent. I will get more of these. Really happy with the dwarves. |
the14thwarrior | 23 Feb 2016 9:39 a.m. PST |
Glad you like them. Cavalry should be available soon! |
Jimboba | 23 Feb 2016 10:34 a.m. PST |
Going the right way to make a lot of friends 14th Warrior (Ed). 1/2 packs a great idea. I'll be putting in an order as soon as some of those rather nice character packs are released – in the UK so need to allow for taxman and postage :-( otherwise I'd be in there already. |
GUNBOAT | 23 Feb 2016 11:56 a.m. PST |
Elite Wargames and Models have the Jacobite Range of 15mm Fantasy figures. link |
Spudeus | 23 Feb 2016 3:15 p.m. PST |
@jclaxton, I agree! I've been looking for dwarves that appeal to me in this scale for years, and Battle Valor seem to fit the bill. They are short, but still seem like they can take care of themselves. |
majormike69 | 25 Feb 2016 5:13 a.m. PST |
14th warrior. I have just registered but when I tried to sign in it just put me right back to the sign in page. Do I have to wait for the account to be set up or should I be able to shop right away? |
