Hi everyone! I have made some progress in the last few days on my Oldhammer orc horde:
I have found an Oldhammer opponent living not too far from me, so I have found a bit more motivation! I should post our first battle report, when it is done! blog article with a bit more info: link |

Just brilliant! Love the classic GW minis, especially the orcs. What a great time for GW, the mid 80s into the early 90s were just the best…great work! |

Lovely. I have some of those guys but they are still in the blister, awaiting a coat of paint. Yours are terrific and quite an inspiration to someone like me! |

Wow, what a time warp! I believe that the orc archer on the far right in the picture of the four archers is actually from Grenadier's "Fantasy Warriors" boxed set that came out in 1990. The minis in it I believe were designed by Nick Lund who also designed the game. I used to play Fantasy Warriors all the time, the boxed set came with a ton of miniatures, all plastics, half orcs and the other half dwarves. What great memories!
Here's the orc archers that came with the boxed set:

Precisely! I ran out of metal archer to build the "minimum" core army for the Orcs in 3rd Ed (20boys, 20arrers, 20goblins, 20stickas), and used these. In my opinion, they fit well, with the original Citadel/marauder orcs. They look mean and deformed, but they still have humanish shape and proportions. Yours are pretty well painted! I did not get them from that boxed set, though, I got them from EM-4, they still sell them!!! link |
