Small change for scifi scenarios: 1) small dome built and surrounding structures for a convention site. 2) log jam on creek, for final scene of local rednecks vs. the Mutant Catfishmen from Mars. |

I've been giving this some thought for about 10 years. I made a list of thirty-some projects I'd like to do. I've done some of them, but I am clearly running out of time faster than I'm running out of projects, so I've been trying to weed the momentary brainstorms and less important things out. Aside from finishing the things that are already in process, I'd like to: 1. Put together a mid 15th Century Byzantine army. This is made a wee bit ore difficult by the fact that there are practically no written or pictorial sources. 2. I loved Lawford and Young's Charge when I bought my copy years ago, and I'd really like to build imperial and electoral armies for this period. 3. Then there is 25/28mm American Civil War in the West. I'm kind of watching for Perry Brothers to bring out a box of plastic Union soldiers before I start this one. All that said, I could easily be tempted to include one or more small projects, like an adventuring band for Frostgrave. Grelber |

Most things done. Written lots of articles, never written an actual book. There are still a few armies to put together, but really got more than enough to last. That's really about it I suppose. |

I've already done most of the big battle/campaign refights I wanted to do. I guess five things left to do would be: 1. The Eighth Army drive up to Etna on Sicily – Market Garden in miniature and including commandos, paras etc. Been planning this for several years. 2. The long planned but never yet put on Dieppe game. The whole thing. 3. Write the perfect set of battalion/brigade level WW2 rules. 4. Like Garrison Miniatures, maybe a book. I've been approached to do one, but I think maybe that is something for when I'm retired, or at lest working a lot less than I am now. 5. Cover all major WW2 theatres with 15mm stuff (not that I'm planning on getting rid of my 6m, 20mm and 54mm stuff any time soon). A project I've been pursuing for a few years now, and which probably has a little way to run yet:) |

Hmmm, start/finish the following armies, and actually play with them: 1. 100 Years Wars – Agincourt period armies, and battles, in both 15mm and 28mm; 2. Renaissance/Italian Wars armies and various battles, in 15mm, and/or 28mm – need/want French, Italian (probably Milanese), German, and Swiss. 3. Cold War Battles – air, land, and sea in various scale, including 1/285th – 1/300th, 1/144th, and 1/100th for the land battles; 1/300th and 1/600th for the air battles;, and 1/2400th for the naval ones (1/700th and 1/1200th for the Missile Boats and their targets). Doing well on the collection front for these, but many need painting, and some rules to find/write to game with them. 4. 1/144th scale B-17 Raids over Europe – doing reasonably well on the collection side for this. Need more flight stands, and to figure out which set(s) of rules to use for it. 5. SHADO vs. the UFOs – space-based, moon-based, earth-based, and underwater combat using minis. Need to finish collecting these, and to get some of the minis painted. Could use some proper figs in 15mm/18mm, 28mm, and/or 1/48th scale for the battles on Earth, and inside/outside some of the SHADO bases. Of course there are others, like the attack on the Death Star – need Death Star terrain; Samurai armies and battles; and others are top secret, so…… Somehow, I suspect all will not be realized before my expiration date. |

Apart from quite a number of small projects there is one item that has to be realized: the complete Light Brigade at Balaclava in 28mm. All 600 of them. Since there are now beautiful figures available for the Crimea it must be possible. Just keep alive and keep my eyesight, piece of cake ;-))) |

Paint an Austrian Napoleonic army in 28mm 1805-1809 period, German infantry with helmets and an opposition French force with Foundry/Perry figures or equal quality of sculpture. They will be sufficient to handle small unit, skirmish type rules like Brother Against Brother, Two Hour Wargames type rules. |

Not really a bucket list, but I do want to … 1) Play Balaclava Harbour. Not difficult to do or find, but I want to ensure it is a truly magical game when I do. 2) Make a new Battle of Puebla set up. Again, not difficult, but I want it very nice. 3) Build a laser ruler. Still not tough, just a range finder and an accelerometer to feed into the laser that draws the ruler (or range rings) on the tabletop. 4) Get a demo video for QILS. Not a difficult one yet, just a wanna do. 5) Sculpt my family and friends. |

Pointless poll discussion. Most of us will never die because we can't get through the lead mountain. Assuming we do, I like Rudy Nelson's most unselfish suggestion. Make sure it all finds a good home so my wife and/or kids don't have to deal with it. |

Not necessarily in order but… 1. Paint all of my figures. 2. Visit Historicon and the Britcons in the same year. 3. Play games with the Perrys, Priestly and the rest of the Warlords crew in every Warlord gamesystem. 4. Play in a Flames of War tourney and win with Strelkovaya EW and MW (That'll will prevent me from dying, if you get my point). 5. Donate my minis to those who need them the most. (Not happening while I am still around, so do not go there! ;P ) |

Paint or have painted all of my figures, both sides, for all 14 periods I'm almost done collecting. Play at least 3 games a year per period for five years running – more per year of each and more years is better, of course. Develop a dedicated group of gaming friends with a similar mind set – its more about the models and the fun than about the game but the game is lots of fun. Identify who to pass my collections on to when the time comes so that the pleasure – and the collection, even if piecemeal – lives on. Once I've had a solid time of playing with them, I don't care about getting money out of them near as much as seeing them enjoyed. Find those figures I've been searching for in 15 mm no one has yet made: a troop of baboons and likewise chimps, cape buffalo, an old west hearse and a chain gang and more Chinese for same. So, that's the top five but somewhere on that list is enjoying knowing that, if properly cared for, my figures might still be getting use a thousand years from now, maybe ten thousand years – probably have to be repainted though. |

Why ever have a bucket list? Seems like another way to focus life on future things/events and not people here and now. |
TodCreasey | 08 Feb 2016 5:44 a.m. PST |
As far as games to play I got through all of that with the Napoleonic bicentennials so I am pretty good there. But I would still like to 1) Attend Salute once again (it's been 20 years) 2) Do something big and Dark Ages (likely in the next year or so so that is doable) 3) Get one of my kids into the hobby which is looking possible with my daughter (they are 9 and 11 so I am taking it slow still) |

I would like to make a big show like Salute. I live in Canada so it will take a bit of planning, which is not something I am good at. |
