Review of Alien vs. Alien by Gini Koch. It's a sci-fi satire/parody/"chick-lit" piece. Fun read. It's not something I would have normally picked up. I read it to see what's popular in the speculative fiction market. A light, silly work. Recommended after all the "serious" sci-fi/fantasy books I've read…

Here is my latest addition to my ACW collection, just a small command stand

Once again some cracking little figures from Dixon minis, well IMHO. So I now have command stands for Lee, Jackson and now Longstreet so I reckon its gotta be JEB Stuart next!
So as always thanks for looking, feel free to checkout my blog accidentalpainter.blogspot.co.uk

Dixon minis are always chock full of character. Nice painting and great base.

At this point, I think it's everyone against the bug.

It's a beautiful command stand.

Thanks for all the comments guys, even if the Bug did make an appearance!

Marianas gamer, thanks for the kind words. I'm a massive fan of Dixon minis!

dragon6, I think command stands deserve that little bit more attention, hopefully I managed it!

Thanks GoodOldRebel, I couldn't do anything less than my best for Longstreet.

So thanks for the comments guys, they are very much appreciated
Cheers for now Russ

Longstreet is my favourite Corps commander in the Eastern theatre I have to say!

Superb work, always worthwhile going that extra mile on command stands!

Thanks TIG, your input and opinions are always valued!

Shagnasty, they do look pretty good now they are based.

GoodOldRebel, I know we have spoke before about Southern commanders having more character and charisma then most of the Northern commanders and I still stand by it! I think there is something about the southern gent. The cavalier image is certainly a strong one! Brimmed hats, feathers and the Austrian knots in gold braid, certainly a romantic image which isn't to dispell. Fighting for a way of life which they believed was a choice they should be allowed to decide on without Northern influence.

Seriously guys thanks for all the replies, its a real buzz to read the replies!
Thanks again cheers Russ

Maybe Stuart and William Blackford escaping from the Federals at Hanover? Leaping their mounts over a ditch….awesome image

Thanks GoodOldRebel I'm not sure my skills are up to such a dramatic scene, but I think its gonna have to be abit different from the other command base's, I don't want them looking to much the same.
