Thanks for the report. I have just completed my third Zulu regiment so have not had a chance to try out the scenarios. Your account is very useful. Also useful was your comment about needing Officers for each British unit which I was going to do just for the look rather than for control. |

Yeah, while not very well defined the command structure seems a bit different in Anglo-Zulu scenarios as opposed to other Black Powder periods we play. In AWI units are grouped in Battalion or Brigades and assigned a commander and there is usually an overall commander. In this scenario two of the British companies had a separate commander and then two companies were grouped in one command and there was no overall commander. The Zulu just had two commanders, 1 with 2 units and 1 with 4 units. Fortunately I have some extra individual officers which I will now paint up for this purpose as well as a few mounted officers for traditional command roles. |

Thanks, interesting report. Did you use the Shooting / Hand-to-hand stats switcheroo for the British? |

MajorB, Did we miss an errata or something? We used the stats in the scenario. [URL=http://s441.photobucket.com/user/adfilter/media/Mobile%20Uploads/2016-02/20160205_082429_zpst5iwrwm5.jpg.html]

A number of people have found that the Zulu War works better with the Shooting and Hand-to-hand stas switched around for the British ifantry. Here's an example: "British infantry had their shooting and melee stats swapped. So now they roll 6 dice for shooting and 3 for melee." link and another: "When I've used BP for this era before we'd tinkered with the Shooting and Melee values for the British, swapping them round to reduce their effectiveness in hand-to hand, but making them more deadly at longer ranges" link |

Interesting, I had not seen that yet. This was our first attempt at Anglo-Zulu, but definitely worth exploring. Thanks |
