"My TY purchases thus far (all BF)" Topic

And I got a message that they are on the way.

I know its a moot point considering I dont play TY, let alone modern, Ive always had more of an interest in WW II, but I got to admit, all of BF's TY models look great.

As I was saying; even though I dont play, I wish the entire 'line' were done in plastic. I probably wouldnt be able to resist then.

BTW, does anyone know right off, Who if anyone does 1/144 scale, in plastic? Just curious.
"Pendraken" IIRC, does 12mm – 1/161? They look great, but metal, and I left that behind years ago.
Too many 'curved' even wraped barrels in my micro armor days.
It just got to be really annoying.

Stuff delivered Saturday. And I'll admit it is rather challenging to glue white metal to resin at times,not to mention trying to glue the rare earth magnets to the proper polarity.

Ordered two more starter boxes of "Potecknov's Bears" last week for my Volksarmee. This'll bring my T-72 total to 40. 21 will be T-72M's for my Volksarmee T-72 Panzer Battalion and the remainder will be T-72A's for my Soviets.

Now I'm awaiting PSC to release the plastic T-55AM2's. Looking to get at least 4 boxes of them (20 tanks). They'll die like flies but are dirt cheap in points.

Almost done assembling the BM-21s,Shilkas,and 1 Gopher SAM vehicle. Mounted a platoon of MRs also. Those T-55's sound cool too,may have to see about them.

Almost finished putting the Shilkas together(the radar dishes,only the magnets left-to complete assembly), still need to glue the cranks on the Hails.

Done on that. Priming soon.

Primed now. Will be needing more Soviet green spray paint soon.

Also working on the surplus Soviet motor rifle troops. Using as short companies,along with a KomBat stand.

Working on painting the Hinds(finally). Primed them,and initial spray of Soviet green,and some sand yellow for the camo effect. Sky blue for the bottom,and the rest as able.

And just added a second box of Gophers(solving the earlier magnet problem in the process) and a box of Carnation SP howitzers. Also picked up a few FoW U.S. jeeps at the CincyCon flea market table. Need more Gorilla Glue,though.

Got it. Nearly done assembling the new Gophers.

And just finishing up the Carnation SP guns. Bought some small magnets,more Soviet Green spray paint,and a pot of khaki. Oh,and the Gorilla Glue too. Present lineup,19xT-72 tanks(3 w/mine clearing plows),13 BMP-2's,2 BMP-1s,2 Mi-24 Hinds,2 ZSU 23-4s(AA guns),3 BM-21s,3 2S1 SP howitzers,4 SA-13 SAMs,some 20+ AK teams,18-20 RPG teams,2 PKM teams and an SA-14 team,and a formation command stand.

And that same bud of mine picked up some BAOR vehicles and such too.

Just bought some more BMP's,a couple of Zvezda T-72's,and a pair of MiG 23 Flogger A's.So now adding 2 more BMP-2's and 3 BMP-1's,2 more T-72's and some swing wing air support(should TY put additional fixed wing air support in, besides present company)

Just picked up an Afghantsy weapons platoon pack,and some Command Decision command figs(senior command types).

Soviet Weps platoons assembled. Priming next.

Also been doing some FoW WW2 Germans lately. PzG company with halftracks and 2 StuG G's w/ 75mm main guns

And picked up some Hummels recently,as well as Pak-40's. Can hardly wait for the TY T-64's to show up.

Doing up the camo paint on the tanks,halftracks and artillery on my FoW force.

Done,for most part. Put some quad AA together recently too,and some Opel 3 ton trucks.

Hoping to add those T-64's to my Soviet force soon.

Just picked up those T-64's(1 box,so far) on Saturday,got them assembled yesterday,and am spray priming them today and tonight. Will likely keep the T-72s in a reserve role.

Done. Just need to detail paint,and either decal or fine paint,and they'll be ready. Planning on buying another box or two soon.

Bought another set,got 'em built,and I wouldn't mind getting my own blog someday soon. They might not be the prettiest minis,but I think they can turn a few heads.

Also picked up some FoW MW stuff last weekend.

I just put some 88's together,some 50mm AT guns,a pair of Pz III's and working on a pair of Tiger I E's.

Had to repair my Hind choppers recently. Main and rear rotors.

Picked up some German 105's and some Panzer III's and IV's.

Got another 5 of T-64's,and just finished putting them together. Started spray priming them too this morning.

Also picked up some Plastic Soldier Co. figs recently. Touching up the T-64's.

Picked up some proper FoW Afrika Korps troops and a pair of intel books.

Thats a LOT of time and effort. Hats off to you.

And just picked up some Stukas last weekend. Hopefully,with time and such,I just might see about that blog idea.

FoW German sniper team next up. Some touch-ups,and that'll be good to go.

Also,for TY,picked up and put together a platoon of Soviet Storm AT vehicles.

And for FoW,some German Schwimmwagens,another StuG G,and a few more other vehicles.

Including a few more Panzer IV's,a second Tiger 1 E,and just got a platoon kit for some Panther A's.

Popped said Panthers together;primed ,painted,and ready to rock. And a second Frogfoot for TY.

Now adding a short platoon of BRDMs w/ Spandrel AT rockets and a pair of Gecko SAM AA platforms. Just Gorilla Glued them over the weekend and spray primed them too.

Painted the wheels and windows of the Gecko platforms,and the BRDM wheels too.

And just added some more PSC Panzer IV's to my FoW mix.

Painted them up for Early to mid-war.

Not a purchase,but won a box of German FLAK 36 88's as a door prize in a FoW tournament. But did buy some Zvezda Jagdtigers.

Bought some plastic Russian motor rifle troops as replacements when my metal boys start going plotz.,and an Hs 129 tank buster for FoW,as well as some German Nebelwerfers;210 mm NW 42 rocket artillery.

Picked up some M60A3 Main Battle Tanks from Plastic Soldier, going to use them for marines in Team Yankee. Also picked up HAMMERFALL from Team Yankee. Just getting into it. Waiting for big sale at local hobby shop.

All BF in your collection, then you drank the cool aide. There several companies out there with great models and infantry. Both cheaper than BF.
