AKA WRG Napoleonic. I know, I know, why would you want to? Well, I like the shooting and close combat mechanisms. So I was wondering if you could use them, and what changes would need to be made, for the Civil War? thanks in advance, Joe |

You probably could. Whether it would be a good representation of warfare in the ACW however … I have my doubts. |

Yeah, you are probably right. I'm a rules junkie and always have to be trying new things… I just really liked the shooting and melee mechanisms. |

There is an ACW variant of the WRG rules. I think I have a copy somewhere. |

Extend musket range to rifle range. All cavalry is light, add lots of woods. It won't be perfect but might float your boat. |

Hi Joe, 5 February 2016 Why the heck would you want to modify Nappy WRG when you already have the best ACW rules available (RF&F)? ;-) How is the Confederate Cavalry painting going? My Union Cavalry boys have their dander up and want to kick some Rebel butt! I'm GMing Helena, AR, 4 July 1863 at Pro or Con on Saturday, 12 March 2016. Your Confederate command awaits you. Best, Lowell |

Ochion, Nope, live in America. Thanks though, I appreciate it. Vst, Thanks for the suggestion! Lowell, Because I'm a rules ! To be 100% honest, I think that the shooting mechanic and close combat are nifty, everything else Is kinda pig Latin. Going to need a points value type thing for a campaign idea I have though… Figures are just about done, just some final highlights and touch ups, then bases. No where near as nice looking as your union boys, I'm afraid. Dang northern textile mills! (Read shaky hands and poor painting skills) 40x20 Is the base size correct? I'm afraid I won't have fancy dismount though. I've been out of work since halfway through October and probably won't be going back till may. |

Probably not a good idea. Too much difference between the periods. |

No problem, Dobber.I looked through them & they're OK I think. You're welcome to them….if you're ever passing. |

Hi Joe, 6 February 2016 Here is the basing system I use for 6mm Baccus miniatures: Cavalry (Mounted): 40mmW X 20 mmD, 4 mounted figures in close order and single line per stand Cavalry (Dismounted): 40mmW X 20 mmD, 4 skirmishers in open order and staggered line per stand Horse Holders: 40mmW X 25mmD, 4 horses and 1 holder per stand My toys do look nice but that's because I don't actually paint them;-) I love writing checks to my painter. He saves MY eyes! Best, Lowell |
