Some photos (I hope) of one my 15mm Rorke's Drifts that I was puttering around with last week. The figures are mostly Mike's Models painted by Terry Sirk and the late Bob Coggins. The model itself was built by Howard Whitehouse for me as a Christmas present from my wife many years ago.

Very nice. What's the idea with the circular walls around groups of Zulu figures?

Those are movement trays to facilitate moving units of Zulus. They're made from plastic petri dishes; spray painted and flocked to 'blend' in with the terrain. I use them in all my larger Colonial games (AZW, Sudan, FFL) when lots of figures are involved. I chose the Petri dish because it's round shape suggested to me a less formal grouping of attackers. I use rectangular balsa wood movement trays of various sizes and shapes from Gale Force 9 for the Imperial forces.

Clever idea with the movement trays – could even make their bottoms from clear plastic.
