"Nigerian separatists have hijacked a merchant ship and threatened to blow it up with its foreign crew if authorities do not release a detained leader agitating for a breakaway state of Biafra, military officers said Tuesday.

Maj. Gen. Rabe Abubakar, the Defense Ministry spokesman, confirmed the hijacking occurred on Friday and called it "an act of sabotage." He did not tell reporters the name of the ship.

Abubakar spoke on Monday. Other officers on Tuesday told The Associated Press that the navy is in pursuit of the captured vessel. The officers, who spoke on condition of anonymity because they are not authorized to speak to the press, said the hijackers have given the government 31 days to free Kanu or say they will blow up the ship along with its crew…"

Just a head's up for anyone interested in the Shipyards 144th BMP-3.

I have just have a slight revision. The BMP-3 is an older model, and stemmed from the time when Shapeways only charged by material volume (as opposed to material volume, bounding box and number of parts). It was not well optimised for the current pricing scheme and I just haven't gotten around to dealing with it until now.

As from today, I have sprued the turret and hull together, like all the other BMP versions. The most important thing to note in this revision is that there is no longer three in a pack. (I want to make that clear to everyone, just so as you know what you are getting!)

Dropping down to a single model with sprues allows me to considerably reduce the overall cost. The good news, then, is cost for three BMP-3s is now a touch over 15% less that it was before!

I have removed the photo showing three unpainted BMP-3s, and hopefuly will be able to add a picture of a single (painted!) one tomorrow night.

(Aside from changing the way it is sold, the model itself is unchanged.)

Edit: Okay, I have NO idea what happened there and how Tango01's post somehow got posted to this thread, apparently before th post that was the start of the thread… (?) I assume it must be a board glitch somewhere! I have duly reported it.
