Tony Barton is a true artist – and your artistry with the brush has done them absolute justice. Great job! |

Makes me want to throw my figures in the trash. Truly miniature masterpieces. |

Hi Dan You are truly the master artist mate. What paints do you use and how do you do the shading , varnish etc? Kind regards Stephen |

Dan, Red saddle cloths for the Officer and standard bearer of the Grenadiers a' Cheval, was that a change for 1815? Figures look fantastic though!! John |

Nicely understated (ie subtle) painting. I would however straighten out the eagle pole and the lances. |

Hi VonBlucher I believe so, I copied the customers references, I have 2 pictures of this, 1 of which is titled 1815. Hi Phillip – I use Vallejo, I do a black wash in some areas. Hi Timmo – yes they bend easily, they have a long journey ahead of them to Scandinavia, so will leave them for the customer to straighten. |

Very nice painting. It's always great to see the best figures in the world (AB) painted to a high standard. Curious about the Polish lancer with colpack?? Is this an officer or a personality? |

Not really sure, just followed the customers request. |

They look fantastic! Cant wait to see them live! Hammond: Im the lucky guy that Dan has painted these for! ;)The officer in Colpack is from an old Knoetel (I believe) print I came over. It apparently depicts an officer of the 1st Guard Lancers at the battle of Borodino in 1812. I have seen that Courcelle has also drawn officers of the 1st guard lancers in colpacks, and I thought it would be cool to have for variation, In all fairness the coat is wrong, and should be a kurtka instead of habite coat. A headswap, putting a colpack on a lancer officer would have done the job I guess. I had no idea Dan was a conversion artist before commissioning him. He took it upon himself to convert the bearskins on the Guard Gendarmes d`elite, giving them peaks and adding extra pouches to saddlebags before painting them up. Now that's an eye for details! Fantastic work Dan! Dr J |

What about those Gendarmes d'Elite? I am beginning to think I do not have enough………only 27 of them…..but in the One True Scale. Hard to believe these figures are 15mm. As always, the figures are better proportioned than many a 28mm Hobbit…and the painting is amazing of course |
Gunner Dunbar | 17 Feb 2016 4:19 p.m. PST |
Yes, the figures are anatomically as perfect as you can get in this scale. |
