In the current BBC production of War & Peace, the general is shown wearing a white cap with a red band. Would this have been his usual headwear, rather than a bicorne? |

If I remember Kutuzov wore the white cap out of preference (probably a Cuirassier undress cap) though his official headgear would have been bicorne with lots of spangly bits. maybe a bit like Monty with his beret – comfy and distinguished him from the other Generals? |

He is usually shown wearing the forage cap rather than a bicorne. Most figures, including the Perrys, depict this. |

Kutuzov haved headwound, forage cap was more comfortable for him than heavier and clumsy bicorne. Before wounding he wear bicornes. |

To be fair, he also wore a bicorne in the episode that covered 1805. |

I think I will end up with one for each period. |
