Again this year the In Clouds of Glory design team aka Svend and Thomas is heading for the Hamburger tactica convention in February for two days of absolutely the best of European table top display games…

The convention runs at 27-28th of February in Hamburg.

Again this year we will bring a bit of gaming materials for sale at around purchase prices… Plane minis, flight stands, adhesive for making turn templates etc.

More on our presentation game here:

Two boards ready for Hamburger Tactica will be great, but don't stop. Continue after the show and complete four boards as originally planned – it would be jaw-dropping

We have now mounted trench sides, sandbags and duckboards to the first board. The last of the boards is out of the mold.. with a red crust of casting sand on the foam giving structure and strength to the foam.
And we have cast 10.4 more meters of trench sides in resin along with 5.2 meters of sandbags. Its going to be tight but well get there..

Hi Hindu

There is lot of pictures in my gallery page page at Boardgamegeek..

If you browse through the forst 3 pages you will find several showing the build process: link

But here is a few i think shows a lot:
The raw negative form in casting sand. Note the aluminium guides on the cast.

picture

The closed mould with the bottom-plate made of blue foamplate showing. Note wholes for spraying in the building foam (bauschaum) between the negative form and the bottom plate. The holes also allow for excess expanding foam to escape. the Sides are also made from blue foamboard – here covered with black duct tape.

picture

The negative trench board moulded in sand. Note that we have used a simple homemade tool to create trenches of uniform width and depth.

picture

The hardened board being lifted off the sand form after two days of hardening.
