Double yay from me!!!

I've been bugging him for a while to produce these, and he's finally relented.

Hope they sell well.

I certainly need a couple of platoons worth, at 1:1 ratio.

An FYI for those that may not be aware, they frequently operated in mixed units, advancing using bounding overwatch, with a pair of the 20mm armed vehicles providing long-range covering fire for the .50 cal pair of vehicles.

I think the 5th vehicle was armed with a .50 cal as well.

Not sure if they ever upgraded them to all being armed with the 20mm cannons.

Hi,

What role did the M114 serve in Europe? Was it recon or troop carrier?

Mute Bystander01 Feb 2016 4:34 p.m. PST

Like I need temptation?

Mako1101 Feb 2016 5:32 p.m. PST

Recon.

They replaced the M151 Mutt (jeeps), but were later replaced by M113s, and/or M551s, which were deemed more suitable to the job, due to some design defects, e.g. overhanging front hull which caused them to bog down when negotiating ditches, as well as their innovative rubber treads, which they had a tendency to throw off.

They were used in the US Armored Cavalry units during the 1960s, and the early 1970s (Wiki says 1962 – 1973).

Thanks kyote.

Don't forget the cumbersome round back crew hatches. Unrealistically small troop space that overly fatigued the passengers.

Should I make some shattered soldiers :-)
