My workbench is awash with a veritable jungle of palm trees and units requiring lots of khaki. While I slave away on block painting minis and a few trees at a time, my six-year old daughter Maja continues to work on her basic technique.
link For both projects, I let her cover the painting, washes, and drybrushing. Heck, I even let her glue and flock for the first time, and no glued together fingers! If she continues to improve, at least she'll have an interesting way to work through college. She was pinpoint accurate with the eyes, so I guess we can play with line work and detail. Of course, I have a five year old hot on her tail. If they paint together, perhaps Daddy can retire and play more games. |

She's a better painter than I am. I'll give her 25 cents a figure to paint what I've got in my lead pile. |

I thought my son was going to be a painter. Great brush control at 5. But then some new kids moved into the neighborhood and they are all into mine craft. Now he has little time for dad and his hobbies. |

OK – my 12 year old said she just might. Time to give her some figures and let her have a go :) Thanks for the inspiration. There is nothing finer for a parent to see than their kids doing something better than them John |

No. 2 son has painted better than me for a while and the Little Prince is rapidly catching up I can see from her work that I need to get my 6 year old grandson painting – great job! |

Winston Smith: Let her work on some of the Teddy Bears first, then I'll let you know her rates. |

Need to rename "Luckiest Dad on Earth". I have three daughters and I can't get any of them interested in helping me paint figures. Not even the horses!!! |
