Hi all,
took stock of all my half done projects last Christmas and realised I had a lot half finished things. Coupled with a re-igniting of my interest in the 40k background I decide to try and finish up a few 40K armies I've knocking about. Then I decided to go a bit further and set up a blog and make an attempt to flesh out the background for the armies as I painted them. In the end I've ended up with a project I've called the Diablo Crusade.

Thought I'd share a few early posts on my blog.
First up some random musings on what I'm trying to achieve

then some background history

And then some posts on my first army the 888th traitor guard

I like the look of this -tell me about your bases-they look great. I use 1.5mm ply for mine and 3mm ply for larger bases.

Mashrewba@ Normally I use slotta bases for my 40k stuff but because I was using Ramshackle Games resin miniatures they had huge lumps of resin for bases which looked silly on a plastic slottas so I bought I bought some 2mmx25mm MDF laser cut bases from here

then to hide the resin I built up the bases with cut up plastic sprue and some resin bricks I picked up on ebay covered with liberal amounts of sand and painted and dry brushed with grey paint from a DIY store (bought in tester pots because it's cheaper than using expensive hobby paints for scenery stuff).
