Has Osprey published any errata for Across A Deadly Field?

PJ ONeill31 Jan 2016 11:08 p.m. PST

No, Osprey has not done anything to support the rules after publishing the books with their own format of John Hill's original charts.
However, the CigarBoxBattles website has John's errata/ clarification notes, some of which appeared in the first scenario book.
John's daughter, Stephanie, has done a tribute website which contains a couple of different formats of John's charts. It is at AcrossADeadlyField.com

An added note- There is a diagram on the CBB site that illustrates how casualties and Morale Checks should be distributed from a multi-Regiment Fire action, that is VERY important to game play.

However, the CigarBoxBattles website has John's errata/ clarification notes…

I'm looking, don't see it… link

I was very disappointed to see that when they reorganized the site, they left out 2 posts of errata that John Hill had given them to put up.
Osprey was going to create an ADF site for errata and scenarios, but never did.
I will send a note to them and ask for a reposting.
Most of the clarification that was there was published in the Eastern Battles scenario book.
Sorry for the wild goose chase.

I was able to find the diagram that I referred to in the 3rd post to this thread at CigarBox. I have asked them to post the other clarifications on their page or send them to his daughter to post on her tribute page. Here is the 1 page I found:

This is the page that I thought was gone, my apologies to CBB

We did a reorganization of the website recently but we have not deleted anything. Just type "ADF" in the search section and all of the ADF articles should show up. We have also added some ADF items to our "download" section and will be adding more.

We are huge ADF and John Hill fans and will continue to support his wonderful game!

Thanks – Cory

While ADF also works for smaller games, I really like it for big games, as in First Day of Gettysburg. Fun rules.
