I am no authority, but it appears to be a blown up picture of the arms on the Saxe-Hielburg Liebfahne. |

I concur with Herkybird. It is the Leib Fahn. The only flag I've seen of Saxe Heilberg other than that is from Warflag. You can see here. link Lavender colored one. Quite different than the one Condrey has. |

thanks, how accurate are the arms in the Condray book then |

So, the one with the big coat of arms is the Leib Fahn. I just did a comparison of the other flag…the squadron standard. That is what is listed second in the Condray book and matches the one on Warflag. I am uncertain if the Leib Fahn would have been carried into battle then. So it may be a moot point unless you are modeling a parade. I say "may be" because I am taking a guess! Go with the squadron standard. This period is full of uncertainty. I know Pat Condray used both text as well as visual evidence (via period paintings and artifacts) to come to his conclusions. So I'd bet he did an admirable job WRT accuracy. |

I have done quite a lot of cross checking with Pat's book, and it seems a good source, though there is some info in which I question. I dafault to his research if in doubt though! |
