I'm working on doing 6mm Iraq/Afghanistan theater force on force games and have been looking for suitable figures for PSC forces; infantry and Suburban type SUVs (pickups are covered by GHQ's technicals). Any suggestions? |

H&R in their newly sculpted ranges make a couple of vehicles that would suit. These are much nicer than their older H&R vehicles BM71 Range Rover JM01 Toyota Pickup |

Thanks for the tip on the H&R vehicles. It's hard to determine what's new vs old on their site. I'll see what I can find on shapeways, that place is awful to browse. Any infantry suggestions. I had considered mixing some of GHQ's isis minis on a base with more obvious western looking infantry to get that militarized civilian contractor look, civil clothes with vests and balaclava |

Sorry for slight threadomancy, but I am also looking into something for use as 6mm PMCs. My advice – based off what I've looked at? I am going for a mixture of GHQ's Vietnam era US infantry and Modern German infantry 2001-2013. Both are relatively 'cleanskin' on their backs, which fits well with Mercs as photos usually show them without big backpacks. I am also considering throwing in some "Brushfire Warrior" or Sub-Saharan infantry with AK-47s and M16s for a solid mix as well. Paint them in 'typical' colours (I am using black clothing and beige/ cream webbing etc) and they'll mix well enough for your purposes :) |
