We played this small and little known battle last week. An isolated Prussian corps was caught by a much larger combined Austrian and Reichsarmee force.

We used Honours of War and they worked really well again. More photos and an AAR can be found on my blog carryingsonupthedale.com

Another fine set of pictures and a good narrative. Thank you Colin.
I have just got these rules and wondered about the practicalities of using them with my existing 15mm SYW figures, which are based 4 infantry figures to a 20 mm square or 8 on a 40 z 20 mm base and 2 cavalry to a 25mm X 30 mm base. I noticed some of your cavalry are in pairs, others in threes. Am I right in thinking that you just have to stick to the idea that a cavalry regiment has same frontage as an infantry regiment?

Thanks. my cavalry basing harks back to another set of home grown rules. Lights are in 2's and heavies in 3's. I don't bother with that frontage convention, I just use my units as they are and it doesn't make any difference to the game.
